Let's join for Carrying the water to Village.

The Village on the foot of Mt. AGUNG.

I wrote down the condition and situation of the village on the foot of Mt. Agung.
When you have a time, if you spare the time to read my experience at the village of the foot of Mt Agung. I will appreciate very much.
I spent many days at Tulamben for handling the project, I feel real great nature our behind there is the highest mountain Agung ( 3,142 meters ) and at front there is blue ocean until far a way while I was there I tripped toward the foot of Mt. Agung. by motor bicycle And I found the following situation of the village.
The villages nearby our project has no drinking water and their villages are poorest in Bali. Only since December to March the villagers can harvest beans and corn.@Since April to November there is nothing to do.
Because the east side of Mt. Agung is very dry, so they must wake up at 04:00 and come down to the beach ( There is a fountain beside our land )to take drinking water by pair of buckets on bare foot about 3 Kilo meters to 5 Kilo meters.
They have just small hut and their food is only corn and tapioca no rice at all.
In the beginning Our contractor has dug 15 places but he could not find any water and the head of machine was broken many times due to thick big rock.
And he gave up and apologized me, I said "Even you made a great effort but you can not find the water, there is no way, it's OK, I never mind thank you."
And I had a inspiration and I pointed one place and asked another garden contractor to dig here.
Then just digging two meters a lot of water comes out.
I am thankful for god.
The contractor wondered how I know the place under where there is fresh water.
I assume that before digging that place, if I found the water first I would like to bring the water to the villagers. So God may received my mind.
After we install the pump we pumped up the water and twice a week we brought the water to the villagers.
For bringing the water I bought a land cruiser and mountain bicycle because the road to the foot of mountain is rocky and difficult to go by ordinary car.

In the beginning the villagers are confused to see the foreign people and we told them we brought the water for you, then people understood with smile.
Even they are poorest whenever we brought the water, villagers welcomed us and returned the favor with giving us coconuts and a lot of tapioca.
I wondered if I am very poor and have no rice and no drinking water, is it possible to return the favor with@their staple food tapioca.
So I recognized their heart are more rich than me.
I took our staff from Denpasar, even they are Balinese, they do not know such a situation, some of our staff offered to support them even small money.
In the future I would like to make a well on the foot of Mt. Agung, so villagers has a lot of water and they harvest many plantation whole year.
We feel that is a mission of our second project.
Thank you for your time
