| Following information are new dive point which SSDC has explored and recommend. |
| GILI SELANG |
| We started to research there from Sep. '2007. And quality of dive point is excellent such as a coral, aquatic life, visibility and enjoyable drift dive same as famous dive site NUSA PENIDA. Untouched coral, continually big biomes, big group of yellow tail fish, and bumped-head fish which we saw first time in Bali, king size of moray eels, lobsters and many reef sharks. We can expect what will come and show up and we have to watch around ourselves. To enter from beach or boat is depends on current. Whenever entry from beach, you will be surprised very much at colorful coral, sea fans and fishes. Also from boat at top edge of island, any directions, you will see some Manta-rays, Bumped-head fishes and reef sharks. Beach area is excellent snorkeling site and staying on rocky beach is good fun to see real Balinese fisherman life. To go to this super dive point GILI SELANG is first go to AMED BEACH, drive west about 45 minutes more to go on rocky road (this road is better now) and go down from main road and then 300 meter by foot. Or go to TULAMBEN first, using our boat, takes 30 to 40 minutes drive to go. If you use JUKUNG, Balinese traditional, skinny, thin fisherman boat, you may not reach due to current and wave. |
